CARE OF OILED SEABIRDS

The Trust has always drawn back from publishing its rehabilitation methodology mainly because there is a fear that it might encourage some people, who are not reliable, to dabble and cause unnecessary suffering by trying to 'help' oiled seabirds.   HOWEVER, some organisations have published information, based mainly on theories, and it is because of this that we have felt compelled to publish our own methodology which is based on practical research developed over a 30 year period, and is proved to be effective by the Trust's own ringing data.
